My dear Amiya,

Greetings and much love to you very dear brother, and to all dear ones at your end!

Your letter to Beloved Baba could not be read to Him, but I conveyed to Him in some few words your anxiety and the present situation. He indicated that there was nothing to worry about it at all.

Accordingly, dear Amiya, you can go ahead full steam to celebrate the G-DAY as if nothing can hinder your programmes. But any item of the programme which the present regulations of the place do not permit should be dropped. You should never defy the regulations at any time. By the time it is 25th February everything will be smooth and calm and fine.

Much love,

Yours lovingly,

Eruch

Amiya:

"This is for the first time an absolutely specific declaration of His divine knowledge. Because Jabalpur was in one of the worst riots ever -- Hindu-Muslim riots, as a sequel to the rape by Muslim boys, of a Hindu girl. She committed suicide, writing a note and a dying declaration that all Hindu brothers should take revenge. It caused a tremendous riot, in which thousands of people lost their lives. And during that riot, we were just making preparations for Baba's birthday [Eruch calls it the G-DAY, meaning God's Day].

"And there was a 'shoot-at-sight' order in Jabalpur, and we were all so anxious and worried about the celebration. The time was so near at hand, and we were not allowed to come out of our homes. And then in that despair I wrote this letter to Baba, and Baba hinted, 'don't worry everything will come out all right' and everything did come out all right. Because the military came, and they started shooting people. Whoever was there, and there was such a terror and panic when the military came, the brigadier came, because this city is an important defense point having five or six different factories here, it was felt necessary and they went for random shooting of everybody, including lots of Muslims. It was a horrible sight. I still remember it though it happened in 1961.

"And it became all right, and we had an open door programme, and the police accorded us all permissions and the Muslims attended our programme, just imagine, like there was nothing wrong. So this is the only letter in which the omniscient one declares it."

"Baba has hardly ever given this.

"This is a very important letter. Now you know the background."
