Meherazad

11th January 1964

Dear Amiya,

Your letter of 7th January was received here and it was read out to Baba. Baba felt very happy to hear the letter, and he expressed His satisfaction towards your Baba work. When Baba breaks His silence, then He would make the sound which is the primal sound, which sound was made when the cosmos was created. This sound starts with ("mmmm") and it goes on resounding in the same way and then there is an aperture and it becomes ("om").

Whatever you told Shri Kalipada Maharaj about the breaking of Baba's silence was absolutely proper.

About Everything and Nothing, this book is now under print. There is a reference to time and space and a clarification about their relationship. There is a lot of material in that book, and many things have been made clear. For this reason, after this book is printed, you can take a copy of the book and give it to Saint Kalipadajee, and gift it to him, or ask him to buy one copy of it. You could also send to him some of the literature from your centre's side and give him Baba's love. Since he has come into Baba's contact through you, therefore in this situation it is proper that you should correspond with him, and when he develops a deep faith in Baba and conviction in Him, then we would take up the correspondence with him.

Shri Taranand Avadhoot also should be told to be in touch with you through correspondence and tell him that he should hold on to Baba's daaman. Do try to make these saints concentrate their attention on Baba, while you continue to hold onto Baba's daaman tightly. Tell Taranand Avadhoot also that you will be sending him some literature of Baba and that he is having Baba's love.

Tell the other saint Shri Dandi Swami that I am writing to Adijee to send him Baba's photograph in which He is wearing a crown. If that photograph is available in the office, it will be sent to you by Adi.

Do write to Shri Gopinathjee that he should read Stay With God, because in that book there is a complete information about the primal sound.

Baba is very happy with your way of working and your love for Him, and He sends you His love, and He sends His love to Matajee, Gauri, Mehernandini, Dandi Swami and all lovers of his in Jabalpur.

Jai Baba

Affectionately yours,

Bhau

Editor's note: This message relates to visits Amiya made to three prominent saints in India. Now, as everyone knows (and even correspondence in this collection verifies), Beloved Baba generally forbade his followers to contact saints and masters. But Amiya felt he had inner spiritual promptings from Baba Himself to visit some specific saints and to give them things on behalf of Beloved Baba. Subsequently, Baba was pleased with Amiya for doing this, so it seems that his intuition was correct. The visits to a number of these saints are detailed in Memoirs of a Zetetic.

One of the visits detailed in Memoirs of a Zetetic is Amiya's visit to Sant Kalipada Maharaj, to whom Amiya said something about Baba's silence and the breaking of it. Amiya felt that he should write to Baba, tell Him what he said, and get confirmation that he didn't get it wrong. This letter answers that Amiya spoke correctly.

In the book, Amiya says that he went to see the three saints under deep inner prompting. At this time Amiya said only, "You see, I got the inner prompting very strongly. I was reading about their lives in a very well known magazine, about these celebrated spiritual guys. So I felt I should give them Baba literature."
