2nd February 1965

Dear Amiya,

Your letters of 29th and 30th January were received by us and they were both read out to Beloved Baba. Baba wants you to tell Dr. P. C. Gupta1 that he should go for the proper treatment and not worry about anything. Baba's nazar is on him.

Baba receives the soul of the dead, and wants that G. L. Varma and his relatives should not worry about it.

Baba is pleased with you, and sends His love to you, to Gauri and to Taranath, and His love-filled kiss to Mehernandini.

Jai Baba

Affectionately yours,

Bhau

P.S. Baba wants you to keep your health in good state

1. Amiya: "I'll tell you one thing. Dr. Gupta died soon after this letter was sent to him. There was one death also in another family. But this line, 'Baba receives the soul of the dead' seemed a little strange to me at the time. Soon after we received the letter we found that Dr. Gupta has tetanus, lockjaw, and soon after that he died. G. L. Varma had a death in his family too. It came all too soon, on each other's heels.
