Meherazad

24th September 19681

Dear Amiya,

Your letter of 18th September was received here and also the letter by Dr. Jai Prakash. Both letters were read out to Beloved Baba and although He is in agyatvas2, Baba permitted that the letters would be listened to. I am sending a letter to Dr. Jai Prakash that is going along with this one.

You are coming closer to Baba day by day, and your heart is now descending to those depths where the song is yearning to kiss you. That song you will get one day surely, and you will find that that song constitutes the breathing of everything that is animate and inanimate.

You try to obtain the nectar-like words from that song, and also spread the beams of that song, which would delight every heart and awaken them, and make every heart yearn to hear that song.

Baba is immensely pleased with you, and sends His love to you, to Matajee, to Sister Gauri, and His love-filled kiss to Mehernandini and dear Meher Kumar.

Jai Baba

Yours affectionately,

Bhau

1. Editor's note: Amiya has written in English on the reverse side of the letter, "This is the last letter I received from Beloved Baba" It is, if we admit a distinction between letter and postcard. The collection contains later postcards.

2. Amiya explains that this translates best as "an unknown place, a sort of exclusion."
